Physical Description: Physical Description: With cool features, short black hair, and deep gray eyes Mai is rather a beauty to behold. Standing at a height of about 5'7 and possessing a very slender frame with a rather full bust and curvy form she tends to hold a ton of secret admirers despite her rather standoffish personality. For her outfit Mai wears something that resembles the outfit worn here, hair and all. She also has her lip pierced with a barbel stud and four similar piercings along her toned and smooth stomach, encircling her belly button and lastly she tends to wear a lot of make up, particularly dark blue eye shadow and blue nail polish.



Personality: Cool, calm, collected, and very cold. She has a fierce dislike and discomfort of men and is rather awkward socially unless it involves women she tends to act softer and nicer towards; her preference of women comes from her desire to seek and be comforted but thanks to her view of men she instead looks towards women for those things. Being a mercenary she enjoys money and thanks to her powers she has an affinity towards anything relating to paper which makes origami, reading, and even drawing amongst her favorite hobbies to do when she's not protecting the Raikage or working. Lastly is her loyalty towards Akiza whom is her closest and most dear companion, Mai is very protective towards her and in fact the Raikage is the only person whom she can open up and be absolutely normal with.

Likes: Rain, wind, walks, ramen, money, Akiza, origami, books, drawing, and reading.

Dislikes: Dealing with ignorance, men, fire, flirts, not getting paid, beggers.

Hates: Betrayal

Background: A ninja from the Rain, Mai hails from the powerful though now extinct Shikiouji Clan. Considered to be one of the most powerful families in the Rain, the Shikiouji were capable assassins who employed paper as a weapon, and Mai was the heiress to this mighty empire. At the age of 13 she was engaged to a boy of her Father's choosing and just when it looked like things were perfect for the spoiled princess the impossible happened and she was betrayed by the man she loved.

Her fiance was a spy sent by the Village Council to exterminate the Shikiouji Clan and before anyone knew it the Shikiouji estate was burning and Mai was left bleeding out from a back wound to die on the ground. Left orphaned, homeless, heartbroken and dying from her injury Mai was driven temporarily insane and somehow or another found herself fighting past her pain and escaping from the Rain. She would make it as far as the outskirts of the Village before her wounds and exhaustion got the better of her and as she collapsed to die and join her family, she was found by a monk whom healed her wounds and nursed her back to health.

Faced with a burning hatred for the man whom torn her heart from her chest and cut down everything she knew and loved Mai developed an intense and irrational hatred of all men and as she came to consciousness weeks later the first thing she saw was the old monk and in a fit of rage she attacked, killing him. She spent years like this, just wandering around and seeking work, killing whomever she was told to kill and destroying everything that stood in her way. Mai was no longer the kind and spoiled girl who grew up in the Rain but now a bitter and sadistic demon of vengeance, her anger only quelling on those rare nights she sought companionship in the fairer and now her favorite sex. A couple years would pass like this and eventually Mai took a job to represent an army in the Cloud that was fighting for the Raikage's chair and this battle would be a faithful one for her.

Earning the nickname of the Crimson Paper Mai became a forced to be feared by enemy and ally alike and on one particular stormy night she and her allies were locked in a clash with the future Raikage. Immediately Mai was drawn in by the subtle beauty and fierceness that the young woman known as Akiza possessed and as she fought the girl the usually wrathful Mercenary found herself enjoying every second of it despite the wounds she received and despite the wounds she caused such a wondrous specimen. In no time at all it was just the two young women left standing atop that gorge and as if by an act of fate, the storm would cause a rockslide and throw both Akiza and Mai off the cliff and into the ravine below.

Injured, cold, and tired both young women survived the fall albeit left without barely enough chakra to stand. Though enemies neither young woman was stupid enough to ignore the situation and so a pact between Mai and Akiza was formed, they agreed to help support each other until they were either rescued or escaped from their death trap. Eventually their location was discovered by Akiza's allies but not after enough time passed for both girls to form a bond with each other and due to that fondness the Crimson Paper possessed for the future Raikage, Mai willingly allowed herself to be imprisoned by the Cloud and through her friendship with Akiza she was not only released later but also allowed to join her new friend's side and help the girl become the Cloud's new Leader.

That is how things are now Mai the former Mercenary and former Princess of the Shikiouji Clan befriend the fierce Raikage and became probably her closest ally and confidant. Their relationship was a powerful companionship and Mai could usually be seen standing in Akiza's shadow, waiting to protect her if need be. She was once an enemy to the very establishment she now serves, she was once a demon who sought vengeance but after encountering someone as passionate as Akiza was during that one battle, Mai found a new reason to exist and now happily serves her Raikage as her dearest companion, body guard, and assistant. She was happy for once though she'll never forget what that man did to her and someday she does indeed plan to reveal that part of her past to Akiza and hopefully be allowed to avenge her family. Until then though she waits and serves the Cloud.

And Suki is crazy fast but outside of her demon form she's not as fast as Rana. <_< Rana sets the cap for non enhanced speed for me.

<_< That was several years ago. They would of been equals then but certainly not now.

edit: Mai also had hatred back then and she now lacks that so yeah. <__<

We are going to need get together at some to discuss how her and Akira relate.

Guess I will need to switch who implanted his sharingan for him and change his likes as well.
